Candle season is here! Even though many of us enjoy candles all year long, there is no doubt that the holidays are the most popular time for purchasing and burning candles. Candles make our homes feel cozy when it’s cold outside. They make great Christmas gifts for our friends, family and coworkers, and the scents of the holidays fill us with warm memories. Check out some of my favorite winter and holiday candles!
Holiday Scents by Flickering Fern Candle

Mulled Wine

Our Mulled Wine candle reminds me of Christmas parties and get-togethers with friends and family, sipping our favorite holiday cocktails. A bright and cheerful blend of orange, cranberry, cider, red wine and warm spices, this one is sure to get you in the holiday spirit!

One of my favorite treats that only comes around for a short time each year. Now you can get it in a candle! This fragrance is peppermint forward with undertones of creamy chocolate and vanilla. Sweet and refreshing, it smells just like the real thing.

Roasted Chestnut
If you’re looking for something a little less strong and sweet, Roasted Chestnut might be the perfect option for you. Warm and nutty with a touch of smokiness, this scent is oh so cozy. Our best-selling winter fragrance! If you’re looking for a Christmas tree scented candle, then Winter Forest is for you. A classic pine fragrance with a woody, earthy blend of Fraser fir and cedar. A very popular scent that frequently sells out at our craft fairs and holiday markets!

Sometimes I like to branch out from my own candle line and support other small business. Even though it would be nice to stock dozens of fragrances, as a small home-based business I only have so much space for my collection! Reminiscent of the popular Moscow Mule cocktail, this fragrance is both refreshing and spicy. Ginger forward with notes of orange, lemon, and clove, I found this to be a unique and inviting scent for the holidays. Three of Cups Candle is located in Binghamton, NY. Their candles are made with 100% soy wax and poured into very cute apothecary jars with cork lids!
Cinnamon Apple Pillar Candle by Collar City Candle
These custom pillar candles are perfect for decorating! You choose your shape, size, color and fragrance. Pillar candles are free-standing without a container so you can put them on candle stands or inside your own jars and vases. I chose the Cinnamon Apple round pillar in red to go with my Christmas décor! Collar City Candle is a husband-wife team located in Troy, NY.
Cranberry Marmalade by Light My Candle Co.
A great scent for both fall and winter, this fragrance is a tart and fruity blend of cranberries, orange peel and spiced apples. Light My Candle Co. is a woman-owned small candle business located in Rochester, NY. Her candles are vegan, cruelty-free and made with 100% soy wax.
